OPGW cable is the short for optical ground wire; it is the optical fiber composite overhead ground wire.

OPGW cable has one or more optical fibers inside, and contains stainless steel tube, or seamless aluminum tube.

 

 

 

Applications

 

  • It is applied on high voltage power transmission lines like 110KV, 220KV, and/or 500KV.
  • It can replace traditional static, shield , earth wires on overhead power transmission lines
  • It Shields the high voltage conductors from lightning.
